Why Use Queries?
Collecting data on an eCRF is a great first step, but ensuring that data is complete, accurate, and reliable is crucial for your study’s success. Queries are a powerful data validation tool that helps your team verify the accuracy of the data. All queries are stored on the platform, with each resolution stage clearly visible and accessible.
Who Can Open and Change the Status of Queries?
When sharing a series with a colleague, you may have enabled the Create/Close Queries permission. This allows the user to both open and close queries.
Anyone else with the Edit patient permission can answer a query. However, closing a query requires the "Create/Close Queries" permission.
How to Open a Query?
Open a Query: Hover your mouse over the variable in question. Three dots (“...”) will appear on the right side of the variable. Click on them and select New Query.
Fill in Query Details: The query panel will appear on the right side of your screen, showing the variable, the person assigned to it, and the nature of the query.
Visibility of Queries: Once created, the query will remain visible even if it's in a subcategory. The only exception is when a query is tied to a conditional display, which means it will only appear if the condition is met. For example, a query on the "Neurological disease" variable (a list variable) will only be visible if the "Hypnotic treatment" variable (a yes/no variable) is set to "Yes."
Tracking and Updating Query Status
When a query is opened, you can see who reported it, who opened it, the comments added, and the date and time of each action. You can also update the query's status by selecting one of the following options:
Do not change status (Red)
Confirmed (Red)
Rejected (Orange)
Resolved (Orange)
Closed (Green)
The query color changes based on its status, making it easy to identify at a glance.
Managing Queries
All queries can be managed in the Queries section under the Monitoring menu on the left side of your screen. This centralized dashboard allows you to track the progress of each query efficiently.
By following these steps, you can ensure that your data is thoroughly reviewed and validated, contributing to the accuracy and reliability of your clinical study results.
